The Interventional Nursing Council
The Interventional Nursing Council (INC) was established in 2011 to formally represent the uniquely interdisciplinary nature and needs of interventional nurses within the Cardiac Cath Lab’s and CSANZ.
Affiliation:
The INC is primarily affiliated with the Interventional Cardiology Council (ICC) as a council of CSANZ.
The purpose of Interventional Nurses Council:
- Represent and advise INC members on issues of leadership, education, professional development and clinical practice within the interventional setting
- Represent interventional nurses to CSANZ , Interventional Cardiology Council and ANZET executives
- Actively foster a culture of professional debate of practice issues and evidence in a collaborative forum
- Foster a commitment to ongoing development of evidence-based interventional nursing practice
- Foster research into interventional nursing practice issues
- Ensure ongoing collaboration with CSANZ councils on issues of practice and evidence requiring an interdisciplinary approach
